Why is it a luxury cotton?
Sun, water, fertile land and a perfect climate… Peruvian Pima cotton requires all these EXCEPTIONAL NATURAL CONDITIONS to be cultivated.
In the Piura region there is PLANTED AND HARVESTED BY HAND, WITHOUT PESTICIDES OR FERTILIZERS… extra luxury!
From its small Latin name Gossypium barbedense, it represents only 3% OF WORLD COTTON PRODUCTION, which makes it a RARE PRODUCT.
Let's not talk (finally if!) about his RESISTANCE (92 to 100 presley), of his EXTREME FINESSE (between 3 and 4 microns), its EXTRA-LONG SILKY FIBER between 30 and 40 mm (against 20 to 29 mm for standard cotton) and finally its natural color of a bright white.
FEW PRODUCERS GUARANTEE A PERUVIAN PIMA 100 % COTTON. Anonym apparel knew RETAINING PRODUCERS and regularly tests the quality of the fiber in independent laboratories.
From plant to fibre…
Regularly, François and Michèle travel to the Piura region to meet Pima cotton farmers.
The opportunity to show you the quality of a cotton GOTS-certified, grown and harvested by hand by Peruvian families.
… from fiber to canvas.
Controlling the quality of our Anonym Apparel products also means regularly visiting our partners and talking with them about development and modernization.
In this company that weaves the canvas and the dye, we have made some images to explain the manufacture of your t-shirt canvas:
- Sorting cotton flowers
- The machines spin the cotton finer and finer: the winding
- The weavers create the extra fine canvas Anonym Apparel
From white to color
In the laboratory, we create the colors of tomorrow. They are tested and validated by experts for optimal maintenance during washing and drying.
Once validated, the fabric measurements are dyed in large vats, then dried before being packaged before cutting and assembly of your t-shirt.
